 Scotch Plains Rescue Squad Neighbors Helping Neighbors, CALL 9-1-1 for ALL EMERGENCIES The Scotch Plains Rescue Squad is an all volunteer organization that responds to the emergency medical needs of Scotch Plains residents on a 24 hour-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 week-a-year. Last year the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad made 1295 medical emergency calls. The Scotch Plains Rescue Squad is a independently run, private organization which is not funded by the Township. The Scotch Plains Rescue Squad is supported only by tax-deductible donations. We are proud to say that we are in our 70th year of uninterrupted service to our community and we are totally staffed by dedicated volunteers. We presently have 53 volunteer members who have 687 combined years of service to the community. These volunteers respond to emergency calls on a 24-hour basis no matter whether it is a holiday or a snow day! The Scotch Plains Rescue Squad members are neighbors helping neighbors and they receive no compensation for their service, only pride in knowing they are providing a vital service to their community.
